- PrEP for Women appointments are for women who want to access pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). PrEP is a medication taken by HIV-negative people that protects them from contracting the virus and is 99%+ effective
- Most types of contraception can be offered in the same appointment including the Progesterone Only Pill (POP), Combined Oral Contraceptives (pill, patch, ring), and Depo (contraception injection). Coil (intrauterine contraception) removal can also be performed. Fitting of coils or implants must be done via a separate appointment.
